Remote Pharmacist

We are seeking a licensed Remote Pharmacist to provide accurate, compliant, and patient-focused pharmacy services in a fully remote environment. This role supports prescription verification, clinical review, patient counseling, and collaboration with pharmacy technicians and healthcare providers.The ideal candidate is expected to be clinically strong, detail-oriented, comfortable with technology, and experienced working independently while adhering to state and federal pharmacy regulations.Key Responsibilities:-Clinical & Dispensing Oversight: Review, verify, and approve prescriptions for accuracy, safety, and appropriateness Ensure compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and federal laws Perform drug utilization reviews (DURs) and identify potential interactions or contraindications Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in accordance with regulatory requirements Patient Care & Counseling: Provide medication counseling via phone or secure virtual platforms Answer patient questions regarding dosage, side effects, interactions, and adherence Promote patient safety and positive health outcomesProvider & Pharmacy Collaboration: Communicate with prescribers to clarify prescriptions or recommend therapy alternatives Collaborate with internal teams to resolve prescription, insurance, or clinical issues Document all interventions accurately and timely Compliance & Quality Assurance Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Follow company policies, SOPs, and quality assurance standards Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and regulatory reviewsTechnology & Documentation: Utilize pharmacy management systems and electronic health records (EHRs) Accurately document clinical decisions, communications, and dispensing actions Adapt to evolving workflows and technology platforms in a remote environmentRequired Qualifications:- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.S. Pharm.) with Residency, or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree.3+years work experience Multiple licensure (deal breaker) Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in at least one U.S. state Ability to obtain additional state licensure if required Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws Excellent communication and clinical judgment skillsPreferred Qualifications: Experience in remote, mail-order, specialty, PBM, telepharmacy, or clinical pharmacy Multi-state licensure Experience with pharmacy systems (e.g., PioneerRx, RxConnect, QS/1, Cerner, Epic, etc.) Prior authorization, MTM, or clinical review experienceTechnical & Home Office Requirements: Reliable high-speed internet connection Secure, private workspace Ability to use company-provided hardware and software Comfort working with multiple systems and virtual communication tools Employment Type Full-time
