Skills for Success Specialist

The Skills for Success Specialist will assist with scheduling, invoicing, and facilitating job placements for participants enrolled in the Innovation Center – Skills for Success training programs. In support of the Skills for Success Coordinator, the role is instrumental in ensuring the effective operation of the program offerings and implementing new offerings as available. QUALIFICATIONS: Associate's degree in business management, human resources, or a related field is required Three years of experience with Elevate registration, course creation, and Skills for Success course management. Must have good interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, employees, colleagues, public examiners, and the public; must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. 4. Must be able to multi-task, prioritize among competing tasks, use critical thinking skills, and work independently. RESPONSIBILITIES: In collaboration with the Skills for Success Coordinator, schedule training sessions for the Skills for Success program at Wallace State, securing lab space, instructors and participant availability. Oversee the invoicing process for the Skills for Success program, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely billing for any associated costs or materials. Work closely with instructors and staff at Wallace State to ensure hands-on training logistics are well-managed and that resources needed for course delivery are readily available. Act as a liaison for students enrolled in the Skills for Success program, providing guidance, answering questions, and coordinating job placement opportunities with services available to them. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participant enrollment, completion rates, and job placements, utilizing data to assess program efficacy and make recommendations for improvements. Meet with students, prospective students, and business/industry regarding Skills for Success programs and conduct Skills for Success presentations on campus, at area high schools, and in the community. In order to perform these essential functions, the Skills for Success Specialist must be present at work. Therefore, attendance is also an essential function. SALARY: Appropriate placement on ACCS Salary Schedule E3 ($39,759-$57,251) of the Alabama Community College System Salary Schedule.
