Come grow with us and let us show you why Sysco is at the heart of food and service.\n\nBenefits:\n\n\n\tEarn between $26.97-$40.48 per hour*\n\tUp to $7,000 sign-on bonus for new hires\n\tThis position is for the 3rd shift\n\t$600 annual boot & tool allowances\n\tOutstanding benefits\n\tExcellent full-time career with a stable and growing company\n\tMove your career FORWARD with Sysco Foods!\n\n\n(*Based on experience and certifications)\n\nWant a Career with Sysco? - Complete the Form and Apply Today!\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n\n\tPerform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment with in planned time tolerances to maximize the safety, reliability, and cost efficiency throughout the life cycle of the fleet\n\tPerform FAI/CVI (annual) inspections on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment in accordance with all federal, state and local legal and regulatory agencies. (Includes all state-required inspections and frequencies)\n\tPerform quality preventive maintenance inspections per company methods on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any other company-owned equipment\n\tPerform quality maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, converter dollies, lift-gates, light-duty vehicles, and any company-owned equipment\n\tAddress all Driver Vehicle Inspection Report write ups timely, and efficiently\n\tDiagnose cause of any malfunction and perform repairs to manufacturer specifications including but not limited to engines, transmissions and clutches, drive-line, differential, steering and suspension, fuel and ignition system, exhaust systems (including regeneration systems), intake systems, electrical systems, brake systems, HVAC systems and lift-gate hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems\n\tFollow procedures including documenting all work performed on work orders\n\tLearn and develop efficiency in Sysco computer programs\n\tProficient in electrical meter testing\n\tKnowledge of controls and electrical systems (DC, low-voltage)\n\tElectric motor knowledge (DC)\n\tComplete electrical repairs and welding projects as needed\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n\n\tEducation\n\t\n\t\tHigh school diploma or GED required\n\t\tCurrent and valid driver's license\n\t\n\t\n\tExperience\n\t\n\t\tMedium / Heavy Duty truck technical training\n\t\t2-year school and 1 year of experience OR 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair\n\t\n\t\n\tCertifications, Licenses, and Registrations:\n\t\n\t\tAnnual Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills, and abilities\n\t\tBrake Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills, and abilities\n\t\tASE certifications; Automotive or medium/heavy-duty trucks (preferred, not required)\n\t\t609 HVAC Certification\n\t\tWorking knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers\n\t\tThe technician must provide their own tools (diagnostic equipment and major tools provided by Sysco) necessary to perform all maintenance repair and diagnostics\n\t\n\t\n\n\nSysco is an Equal Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or other characteristics protected by law.\n\n(*The pay range provided is not indicative of Sysco's actual pay range but is merely algorithmic and provided for generalized comparison.
