Job Title: HSHP Dean's Office Student AssistantThe HSHP Dean's Office Student Assistant will support the Dean's office and departments of the school of HSHP by managing reception tasks and assisting with administrative tasks. The HSHP Dean's Office Assistant will cover the front desk during select business hours, answer phones, and complete projects as needed.Job Reports To: Brooke Ashton, Assistant to the Dean, HSHPHours and Pay Rate: Hiring one or two students to cover a 7.5-hour shift every Wednesday, 5/18/26-8/12/26. $16 per hour. (Some flexibility with start and end dates.)Length of Employment: Summer Semester 2026 with the option to extend.Application Process: Submit 1) a resume and 2) a cover letter.Tasks & Work Requirements:Open and/or close the Dean's Office and other front desks in the school of HSHP.Maintain a clean, professional appearance of front desk areas.Greet students and visitors and provide excellent customer service.Check-in clients at the Ewing Clinic in the Department of Speech Language Pathology & Audiology.Answer the phone, transfer calls, and take/deliver messages.Assist with data entry and maintenance of school and department records.Deliver mail and packages.Create and maintain spreadsheets.Other office/administrative support as needed.Work independently on projects.Use Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel (training can be provided).Maintain confidentiality.Qualifications:Must be a currently enrolled student at Ithaca College.Ability and willingness to be flexible and adaptive.Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and lift 40 pounds comfortably.Attention to detail.Experience with Microsoft Outlook.Exposure to Canva and graphic editing is a plus, though not required.About Us:Ithaca College's student employment program offers meaningful experiential learning opportunities that develop transferable skills sought by employers across various industries.
