Job Title: Patient Access Specialist Job Category: Registrar / Patient Service Representative Location: Lebanon, NH (On-site) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months) Pay: $20/hour Position Overview You’ll be working in a healthcare administrative environment supporting patient services and medical documentation processing. This role is a mix of clerical support, patient access, and customer service , ensuring accurate handling of medical records and documentation in a fast‑paced setting.This is a great opportunity for someone looking to break into healthcare administration or grow within patient access and medical operations. What You’ll Be Doing Medical documentation:Process and fulfill requests for medical records, EOBs, UB‑92 forms, and itemized statementsClerical support:Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, indexing, and organizing documentsMail handling:Sort, track, distribute, and process incoming and outgoing correspondenceClaims & records processing:Work with claims from multiple sources and manage electronic files and work queuesCustomer service:Support internal teams and external partners by providing accurate and timely informationAccuracy matters:Maintain detailed records and ensure all documentation is processed correctly and efficiently Required Qualifications (Must‑Have) High school diplomaPrevious administrative or office support experienceFamiliarity with medical terminologyStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and research information when neededComfortable working in a fast-paced environment Nice‑to‑Have Skills Experience with EPIC systemHealthcare or patient access experienceStrong customer service backgroundProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Data entry and 10-key experience Work Schedule Monday–Friday (full-time)Shift starts between 6:30 AM – 7:30 AMVarious departmental schedules available based on placement Work Environment On-site healthcare facilityTeam-oriented office settingFast-paced with high volume of documentation and requests Why This Role Strong entry point into healthcareOpportunity to gain experience in patient access and medical administrationHands-on exposure to healthcare systems and processesHigh-demand skill set with career growth potential Compliance Requirements Drug screen (12-panel)background check, including:Criminal historyEmployment verificationEducation verificationHealthcare sanctions checksHealth/Immunization Requirements:Hep B, MMR, TB, TDAP, Varicella, Influenza (testing/vaccination requirements apply) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Windsor, VT.
