Purpose of the Role:To manage and design the structural aspects of projects, including but not limited to structural steel frames, equipment support structures, skid assemblies, foundations, and load-bearing systems, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.What You Will Be Doing:Development of structural steel design packages including plans, sections, and detailsCreation of structural calculation packages for steel members, connections, anchorage, and lifting pointsPerform finite element analysis (FEA) to validate structural integrity under static and dynamic loading conditionsUtilize RISA3D for structural modeling and analysisReview and approve structural fabrication drawings for constructionCoordinate structural requirements with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing teamsProvide stamped engineering drawings and calculations where required, including application for reciprocity for required statesSupport manufacturing and field service during fabrication, installation, and commissioningAdhere to company and client engineering standards and proceduresCommunicate with contractors and customers using clear verbal and written communicationWhat is Needed for this Role:No visa sponsorship available for this roleBachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET Accreditation)Professional Engineer (PE) license required with the ability to stamp drawingsMinimum 10 years of progressive structural engineering experienceDemonstrated experience designing structural steel packages for industrial or commercial applicationsExperience stamping and sealing engineering drawingsExperience coordinating with fabrication shops and field installation teamsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, steel design methodologies, and applicable codes (IBC, AISC, ASCE)Advanced proficiency in RISA3DExperience performing and interpreting finite element analysisAbility to develop comprehensive structural calculation packagesWorking knowledge of structural steel connection designProficiency in reading and reviewing fabrication drawingsSheet metal working practices and evaluation techniquesExpertise with welding codes such as AWS D1.1/D1.1MFamiliarity with Autodesk Inventor preferred but not requiredAbility to work in a collaborative team environment
