Role:-Security Engineer Level 3Location:-Charlotte, NC-OnsiteDuration:-6 Months ContractJob Description:-Day-to-Day:Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation activities across cloud and platform environments.Analyze security findings from scanning and monitoring tools and drive resolution efforts.Harden systems, applications, and infrastructure against external threats and attack vectors.Implement and maintain security controls for cloud-based platforms and services.Automate security processes, remediation workflows, and compliance activities.Partner with development, infrastructure, and security teams to integrate security into engineering processes.Support continuous improvement of security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities.Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, and operational readiness activities.Create documentation, standards, and procedures related to platform security and vulnerability management.Assist with incident response activities and root-cause analysis when needed.Must-Haves:5–8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Security Engineering, DevSecOps, or Infrastructure Security roles.Hands-on experience with vulnerability management and remediation programs.Experience using security tooling such as Snyk and similar vulnerability scanning platforms.Strong understanding of security hardening practices for cloud and enterprise environments.Experience working within AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.Knowledge of infrastructure, operating systems, networking, and security fundamentals.Experience automating operational or security-related tasks using scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools.Ability to analyze security findings and prioritize remediation efforts based on risk.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.Nice-to-Haves:Experience with echoAI or similar security automation platforms.DevSecOps experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines.Experience securing Kubernetes, containers, and cloud-native applications.Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.Experience with security compliance frameworks and audit requirements.Familiarity with SIEM, threat detection, and incident response processes.Experience supporting large-scale enterprise cloud data platforms.Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, GIAC, AWS Security Specialty, or similar.
