((THIS IS NOT A HOURLY POSITION))) IT IS A PIECE RATE FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION TECHNICIANS TO COMPLETE INTERNET & PHONE INSTALLS 1099 Contractor Position Must have work Vehicle Van,Truck, Must have All US work credentials Must pass drug & background check Must have Work tools Must have 28ft & 6ft fiberglass ladders Must have electrical or cable experience Position is for Austin MN AND SURROUNDING AREAS Job Summary: Looking to hire 1099 Contractors for Metro-Net to work in Austin MN and surrounding areas. Experience is Preferred Pay ranges between $800-$2000 weekly. As a fiber Installer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of fiber systems, including Ethernet, telephone, and fiber optic cables. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. Responsibilities: - Install, troubleshoot, and repair fiber in residential and commercial settings - Perform cable terminations, splicing, and testing fiber optics - Install and configure network equipment such as Cisco routers - Ensure proper cable management and labeling - Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget - Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications: - Previous experience as a fiber Installer or related role preferred - Strong knowledge of cabling systems, including low voltage, Ethernet, telephone, and fiber splicing - Familiarity with hand tools and equipment used in cable installation - Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work independently or as part of a team - Strong communication and customer service skills Benefits: - Competitive pay based on experience Job Type: Contract Pay: $800.00 - $2,000.00 per week Benefits: On-the-job training Schedule: 10 hour shift 8 hour shift Application Question(s): Are you able to pass drug screening?
