Come be one of the people playing a critical role to defeat the enemies of freedom.We are seeking Space Vehicle Test Engineers to work within the Space Protection Programs organization. This role provides the opportunity to perform critical work, develop your individual potential, and play a crucial role in the strategic execution of the SPP area.As a Space Vehicle Test Engineer, you will:Lead Systems Integration and test execution effortsDevelop, and review test artifactsOversee test execution of various subsystem and system-level testsDocument test results and test discrepanciesLead test anomaly and troubleshooting effortsModerate among the interests of multi-disciplinary groups to synthesize test plans and test procedures that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraintsPerform to functional and technical specifications and standardsAid in solutions for hardware/software interface problemsEnsure integration of the entire system or subsystem through test product executionCoordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with support organizationsPerform impromptu briefs of test status or discrepancies to customer representatives or program managementWork within a fast-paced production operations environment that may include 24/7 support and travel to support full lifecycle operationsBasic Qualifications:Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline or related experienceAbility to lead a team through the execution of established procedures and processesPrevious test experienceProficiency with a high-level scripting language (Python, PHP, Ruby, etc.) to support automated test script development, debug, and executionDesired Skills:Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline with 5 years experienceExperienced Test Conductor on Space Vehicle Integration and Test Programs, including: Component and System Level Functional and Environmental testExperience with electrical test equipment such as bench top power supplies, oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, signal generatorsExperience in Space Vehicle Test Operations including the test development process, test execution, data analysis, and anomaly resolutionExcellent technical writing, planning and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to achieve consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team membersDemonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviorsSecurity Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.Clearance Level: Top SecretOther Important Information You Should KnowExpression of Interest: By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $109,200 - $192,510. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
