Production Supervisor

Production Supervisor – Space Systems Manufacturing (2nd Shift)We are seeking a Production Supervisor to lead the mechanical and electrical assembly of advanced satellite systems supporting a rapidly expanding Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation.This role will oversee production teams, ensure build quality and efficiency, and help develop a high-performing manufacturing workforce.Shift: Monday – Thursday | 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM (4x10 schedule)Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise mechanical and electrical satellite assembly operations, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications, work instructions, and quality standards.Coordinate production personnel across assigned shifts to ensure products are built on schedule, within cost targets, and to required quality levels.Maintain 6S standards, housekeeping, and operational effectiveness within assigned production areas.Support training, certification, and process auditing to ensure team capability and compliance.Coach, motivate, and develop team members to promote performance, accountability, and collaboration.Partner with supervisors, managers, and operations leadership to resolve production bottlenecks and performance challenges.Drive achievement of key operational metrics including safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.Work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure smooth build operations and timely issue resolution.QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma requiredBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferredExperience5+ years supervising production teams, ideally with 10+ direct reportsExperience within manufacturing or technical assembly environments preferredSkillsStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to lead, motivate, and develop diverse production teamsDemonstrated decision-making and leadership capabilitiesCommitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, high-performance work environmentTechnical ToolsProficiency with Microsoft OfficeExperience with manufacturing documentation systems, MES, or ERP platforms beneficialPreferred ExperienceFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principlesExperience within aerospace, electronics, or precision manufacturingUnderstanding of satellite, avionics, or complex mechanical/electrical assembly processes
