Securities Operations Analyst
SystemOne is working with a local financial institute that is searching for a Securities Operations Analyst.The Security Operations Analyst is responsible for ensuring all security transactions and daily processes are completed in a timely, accurate, and policy-compliant manner. This individual will balance and reconcile daily activity between depositories and trust and/or bond accounting systems, addressing discrepancies to prevent financial losses. Additionally, the Specialist will oversee the accurate and timely movement of funds between domestic and international depositories and institutions, while developing, implementing, and utilizing process improvements with strong controls to mitigate risks to the bank and clients.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely and accurate completion of security transactions and daily processes within policy guidelinesBalance and reconcile daily activity between depositories and accounting systemsResolve discrepancies to prevent financial lossesOversee movement of funds between domestic and international depositories and institutionsDevelop, implement, and utilize process improvements while maintaining strong controlsWrite and refine procedures for transactional processing and reportingProvide support and resolution for complex issues to minimize lossesCollaborate with various stakeholders, including auditors, compliance, account officers, and managementTest and document reports to support day-to-day operations and strategic decisionsIdentify solutions and resources to complete projects and exception processingEducation & Experience RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance1-4 years of directly related experience in a high-volume securities operations environment preferredEquivalent combination of education and experience consideredSkillsAdvanced PC and operating software application skillsExcellent research, analytical, and organizational skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of securities and Wealth Management accounting systemsUnderstanding of accounting principles with emphasis on reconciliation and detail-oriented tasks in high-volume environmentsAbility to improve efficiency, track complex activities, and improve methodology
