This role sits at the intersection of analytics engineering, data product development, and applied AI, and is responsible for building both the team and the systems that power next-generation Accounting.You won’t just deliver dashboards—you’ll lead the development of scalable data products, intelligent workflows, and AI-driven applications that transform how Accounting operates, makes decisions, and drives efficiency.This is a highly cross-functional leadership role requiring a balance of strategy, execution, and people leadership. You’ll partner closely with Accounting, Finance, and Engineering to translate ambiguity into durable, production-grade solutions.In this role, you will:Set vision and lead executionDefine and drive the roadmap for Accounting Analytics, aligned to business priorities and long-term data strategyTranslate ambiguous business problems into scalable data products, AI solutions, and automation initiativesBuild and lead a high-performing teamHire, develop, and mentor a team of analysts, analytics engineers, and data product buildersEstablish best practices across data modeling, experimentation, and product developmentFoster a culture of ownership, speed, and continuous learningOwn data products end-to-endOversee the design, development, and adoption of data products, dashboards, and internal applications used to run AccountingEnsure solutions are scalable, reliable, and deeply embedded in business workflowsDrive AI-powered transformationLead the development of intelligent workflows (e.g., automation, copilots, agents, decision-support tools) that increase leverage across AccountingIdentify high-impact opportunities to apply AI and automation to core financial processesStrengthen the data foundationPartner with Data Engineering to ensure high-quality, well-modeled, and governed datasetsEstablish standards for data quality, documentation, and discoverabilityInfluence decision-making at scaleDeliver actionable insights and shape strategic decisions through dataAct as a thought partner to Accounting leadership, bringing a data-driven perspectiveChampion operational excellenceIdentify inefficiencies and drive system- and process-level improvementsImplement scalable solutions over one-off analysesRequired QualificationsWhat You Will Need8+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, BI, or related fields, with 2+ years in a people management roleDeep expertise in SQL and building scalable, production-grade data modelsExperience with modern cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)Strong proficiency in Python (or similar) for data transformation, automation, or application developmentExperience building data products (not just dashboards), including tools, apps, or workflows used in business operationsDemonstrated experience applying AI/LLMs (e.g., Cortex, OpenAI, Claude, etc.) to real business problemsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadersExperience supporting Accounting or Finance organizationsPreferred skills:Experience with ERP and financial planning systemsBackground supporting finance or accounting teamsFamiliarity with agile development practicesWhat Sets You ApartBuilder + leader mindset: You can set strategy while staying close to the workProduct orientation: You think in terms of user adoption, usability, and impact—not just deliverySystems thinker: You design scalable, reusable solutions that stand the test of timeBias for action: You move quickly, iterate, and prioritize impact over perfectionAI-forward: You actively explore and apply emerging AI capabilities to unlock new ways of workingUser obsession: You deeply understand stakeholder needs and design solutions that truly improve their workflowsSnowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
