Senior Tax Associate or Tax Manager

Required field. Our client is an organization in the Dane County area that's looking for a Senior Tax Associate or Tax Manager. Our client is looking for someone with 3+ years of experience, organized, and motivated. The Senior Tax Associate or Tax Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare and review complex tax returns for individuals and entities (Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 1041, 709, 706) with supporting workpapers Manage tax compliance processes, including multi-state filings, extensions, and deadlines Conduct tax research and apply federal, state, and local regulations to resolve complex issues Perform tax planning and year-end projections to optimize client positions Advise clients on tax-saving and wealth strategies, including entity structuring, retirement, and estate planning Respond to tax authorities and support audits, including IRS/state notices Drive process improvements, leverage technology, and uphold firm standards and confidentiality The Senior Tax Associate or Tax Manager will possess the following: EXPERIENCE REQUIREDBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred 3+ years of tax compliance experience in public accounting Proficiency with professional tax preparation software Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax law Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Equal Opportunity Employer The compensation philosophy reflects the Company's reasonable expectation at the time of posting.
