Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver – Independent Contractor Location: Wichita, KS Pay: $16–$22/hour (based on experience and availability) Job Type: Independent Contractor (1099) Schedule: Flexible hours with pre-scheduled shifts We are seeking reliable, professional drivers to provide non-emergency medical transportation services in the Wichita area. This role is ideal for individuals who value flexibility, enjoy helping others, and are comfortable working independently. What We Offer: Flexible, pre-scheduled hours Competitive pay based on experience Paid training if required for the role Consistent trip volume Responsibilities: Safely transport clients to and from medical appointments Assist passengers as needed while maintaining professionalism and respect Operate your own vehicle in a safe, clean, and dependable condition Communicate clearly with dispatch and follow scheduled routes and times Preferred Qualifications (not required): Previous NEMT or rideshare driving experience Familiarity with the Wichita and surrounding areas Caregiving, healthcare, or customer service experience Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Clean, reliable vehicle in good working condition Auto insurance that meets Kansas rideshare/NEMT requirements Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the role, which may include assisting with items or mobility aids weighing up to approximately 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation Smartphone with GPS and data capability This is an independent contractor position; drivers are responsible for their own taxes and vehicle-related expenses, including fuel, insurance, maintenance, and repairs. Compliance with a drug-free workplace policy may be required for this safety-sensitive driving role, in accordance with applicable law. Company Location: For this position, you will work remotely in the field, providing services on the road within your assigned Kansas service area.
