Job Title: - Senior HR consultantLocation: - Oakland CA 94612 (Hybrid)Duration: - 8+ months with possible extensionTOP THINGS LOOKING FOR:Employee relations experience in larger companies. good communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities.Initiates collection of information and research for HR Managers, Directors, subject matter experts or the Law Department when a problem warrants an escalation due to complexity or sensitivity.Collaborates with HR team and line of business clients to ensure root cause is identified for full resolution.Follows-up with HR team and line of business clients to ensure solution is completed and problem has been addressed.Conducts internal investigations in response to complaints - working directly with leaders and employees through interviews and information gathering - in support of workplace issue resolution process.Summarizes event facts and analysis for review and submission to EEO Investigators, Law Department, HR.Minimum QualificationsRequiredB.A. in Business or Social Sciences3 to 6 years of experience working in Human Resources, with 2+ years in an increasing responsible role as a lead or specialistExperience in employees relations and conflict resolutionExperience in diagnosing and resolving performance issuesStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical and problem solving skillsKnowledge of California labor law and federal employment regulationsDesired QualificationsEmphasis or Certification in Human Resources or Labor RelationsMaster in Business Administration or Labor RelationsExperience working in a union environmentLabor RelationsCompensationSuccession PlanningLeave Management
