Tooling Lead
RAKAR designs, manufactures, and supplies engineered, precision plastic components and related materials for use in Aerospace, Defense, Medical and Industrial Applications, specializing in Thermoset, Thermoplastic and Resin Metal Overmolding. We provide thermoplastic transfer, compression, and injection molding services; as well as precision machining and tool making. The Tooling Manager supports the Tooling Department department through the planning and maintenance of customer tooling. This position organizes and maintains tooling inventory for client and company tools. The status of all custom tooling is to be recorded and updated as required. The Tooling Manager is to ensure tooling meets customer requirements, on-time order delivery and achieves the required quality specifications.
The essential functions for the Tooling Manager:
Work directly with the Tooling Administrator in the quoting process.
Repair, rebuild and maintain client tooling as required and in compliance with AS9100.
Disassemble mold and/or cavity
Mold and Cavity evaluation
Perform required repairs using equipment or machinery
Reassemble mold and/or cavity to meet client specifications
Assist Production Dept with set ups for machining parts and/or the machining of parts.
Provide accurate inventory and placement of all client and company tools.
Regularly meet with Cavity Change, Quality and Production departments in meeting productivity goals and improving tooling.
Education/ Skills Requirement:
Highschool Diploma or GED Completion , desired
Proficient in English (verbal and written)
Bi-Lingual English/ Spanish, desired
Basic computer skills, Excel and Word

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
