Hillside Summer Internship Program 2026

POSITION DETAILS:Application deadline: May 3, 2026Internship duration: May 26 - August 9, 2026Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, with occasional evening and weekend responsibilitiesHours: Full-time, 40 hours per weekRate: $16.00 per hourEligibility: 18-25 years old (must be a high school graduate)This internship is designed as a one-time, entry-level experience and is best suited for those who have not previously participated in the Hillside Summer Internship Program.ROLE SUMMARY:The Hillside Fellowship Summer Internship Program offers a meaningful, hands-on ministry experience for young adults (ages 18-25) who are eager to grow both spiritually and practically. Throughout the summer, interns will serve alongside Hillside staff and leadership, gaining valuable ministry experience, developing practical skills, and deepening their relationship with Jesus. Interns will also play an active role in supporting and advancing the mission of Hillside Fellowship.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Participate as an engaged team member in meetings, servant leadership opportunities, and other internship-specific gatheringsSupport summer ministry initiatives and special projects across various departmentsAttend and actively contribute to weekly small groups and learning environments led by Hillside staff, completing assigned readings and tasks faithfully and on timeParticipate in regular staff meetings and collaborative planning conversationsAssist in planning, organizing, and carrying out projects within your assigned departmentEmbrace additional opportunities and responsibilities as invited by supervisors or ministry leadersINTERNSHIP ROLES:Grow Ministry: Help develop and prepare content for community groups, Bible studies, and spiritual formation opportunities for the summer and fall seasons.NextGen - Invest in students (grades 6 - 12) through small groups, relational discipleship, and helping plan and lead summer eventsFacilities & IT - Assist with facilities and technology-related projects that support the life of the church, while learning the heart behind stewardship and creating welcoming, hospitable spacesHillside Kids - Support in the design, preparation, and conducting of Kids (Birth - 5th grade) ministry activities and events, including leading summer groups regularlyQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:A genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, reflecting the culture and values of Hillside Fellowship (Galatians 5:22-23)Active involvement in a local church community or ministryStrong relational, organizational, and communication skillsA willingness to learn, grow, and serve in a variety of ministry areasAbility to work collaboratively and contribute to a healthy team environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent required; college students or recent graduates preferredAbility to help plan, organize, and follow through on projects with attention to detailPrevious ministry, volunteer, or leadership experience is helpful, but not requiredAbility to pass a background check is required
