Sr. Video Engineer (Capture, Production, Post Production)W2 ContractPay Rate: $60 - $70 per hourLocation: Cupertino, CA - Hybrid RoleJob Summary:We are seeking a Senior Video Producer to lead the creation of high-quality video content for an internal engineering audience. This role goes beyond traditional videography and requires a strong blend of creative storytelling, technical production expertise, and end-to-end ownership.Duties and Responsibilities:Own the full lifecycle of video production: planning, recording, editing, and final deliverySet up and manage recording environments (studio or onsite)Deliver polished, production-quality content ready for internal distributionProduce and edit podcast-style and interview-based videosWork with unscripted or lightly structured formatsShape narrative flow and ensure engaging storytellingCreate structured training videos and walkthroughsCollaborate with engineering teams to capture technical concepts clearlySupport hybrid formats like codalongs (hands-on learning sessions)Perform advanced editing, including:Color gradingAudio balancing and cleanupScene transitions and narrative structuringExercise strong judgment on content trimming and story cohesionAct as a producer, not just an operatorMake independent decisions on content quality, pacing, and structureContinuously improve format, tooling, and production workflowsRequirements and Qualifications:5+ years of experience in video production, podcast production, or digital mediaProven portfolio showcasing:Podcast or interview-style content OREducational/training video productionStrong proficiency in tools such as:Final Cut Pro or equivalent professional editing softwareExperience with end-to-end video production workflowsAbility to work with unscripted or semi-structured contentStrong storytelling and editorial judgmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience producing content for technical or engineering audiencesFamiliarity with video streaming or publishing platformsBasic understanding of technical topics (software, AI, cloud, etc.)Experience in academic, training, or instructional video environmentsAbility to quickly learn and adopt new tools in a fast-evolving media/AI landscapeDesired Skills and ExperienceFinal Cut Pro, professional video editing, video production, podcast production, interview-style video, educational video production, training videos, instructional content, end-to-end video production, video capture, studio production, onsite recording, post-production, planning, recording, editing, final delivery, color grading, audio balancing, audio cleanup, scene transitions, narrative structuring, storytelling, editorial judgment, content trimming, story cohesion, unscripted content, semi-structured content, technical content, engineering audience, codalongs, walkthroughs, internal communications, video streaming platforms, publishing platforms, digital media, production workflows, AI media tools, cloud concepts, software conceptsBayside Solutions, Inc. is not able to sponsor any candidates at this time.
