Program Manager – Data & GovernanceLocation: San Ramon, Sacramento, or Dublin, CA Pay Rate: $80/hr-85/hr Client: PG&E Employment Type: 12 Month – Ongoing Contract Role SummaryPG&E is seeking a Program Manager to lead data governance and data quality initiatives supporting work management, inspection, construction, and asset operations. This role is highly business‑centric and data‑driven, focused on ensuring enterprise asset and geospatial data is accurate, governed properly, and flows correctly through downstream systems and operational processes.The role does not involve new system development—instead, it focuses on data forensics, impact analysis, governance, and execution across business, IT, and GIS stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead governance initiatives to improve accuracy, quality, and reliability of enterprise data sets used across work management and field operationsAnalyze and remediate issues within asset, ownership, and geospatial data, ensuring data correctly reflects asset location, boundaries, and work center alignmentPerform forensic data analysis to identify data gaps, root causes, and downstream impacts on inspections, construction management, and work routingCoordinate asset data changes with asset owners and business stakeholders, ensuring changes are understood, approved, and accurately implementedPartner with IT, GIS, and business teams to align data correction methods and governance standardsFacilitate working sessions and stakeholder meetings to define issues, evaluate impacts, and drive solutions through executionSupport administrative and program execution activities from intake through completion, ensuring governance processes are followed end‑to‑endRequired QualificationsStrong Program Management experience in business‑centric, cross‑functional environmentsBackground in Data Analysis or Data Engineering, with a focus on data quality and governanceExperience supporting Work Management systems (SAP and related business systems)Proven ability to conduct impact analysis and data forensics without new system developmentStrong facilitation skills with the ability to drive clarity and alignment across stakeholdersExperience working collaboratively with IT and GIS teamsPreferred QualificationsExperience improving and modernizing enterprise data setsGIS expertise or experience navigating GIS‑driven programs and initiativesPrior PG&E experience or familiarity with utility environmentsProven ability to administer and execute programs through full lifecycleWhy This RoleHigh‑visibility role supporting core operational data relied upon across PG&EStrong mix of governance, data analysis, and program executionOpportunity to drive meaningful improvements in data accuracy that directly impact field operationsPlusses:Improving and upgrading data setsGIS ExpertsHow to navigate GIS type projectsPast PGE experience Administration and administer and execute all the way through
