Press Technician/ Operator

We are World Metal Stamping! Currently we have 25 to 400 ton press capabilities and can produce parts via stamping, fabrication, powder coat, and resistance welding within markets including home improvement, automotive, residential, and recreational industries.
HTT has immediate openings for Press Operators/Technicians on our team!
What does a day in the life of a Press Operator/Technician look like?
Depending on your experience, you will be responsible for producing parts using a punch press that makes precision cuts, punches and draws into metal. Assist with set-up, operate punch presses to efficiently and effectively to attain set standards.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Set-up, adjust and operate auto and single hit punch presses to form, bend and punch a metal material.
Set-up dies and gauges.
Adjust ram strokes of presses to specified lengths, using hand tools.
Set and remove coils as needed.
Inspect parts visually and using measuring tools or fixtures to determine if part is to print and within customer specifications.
Perform adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the punch.
Maintain equipment and tooling with use of appropriate lubricants.
Inspect and package product produced in accordance to customer order.
Locate and verify material required to produce parts per specified order trigger.
Perform operator preventative maintenance as specified/required.
Safely operate forklift as needed.
Follow lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures as defined by company programs.
Understand and meet or exceed daily productivity requirements.
Active involvement in continuous improvement activities and initiatives. Minimum of 2-3 documented CI suggestions annually.
Participate in required company training programs.
Perform to the requirements detailed in the applicable ISO/TS/IATF procedures pertaining to Manufacturing and Quality.
Produce product that conforms 100% to customer requirements.
Operate and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Comply with company handbooks and policies.
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Experience/Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Average level math and reading skills.
Strong troubleshooting ability.
1 year of previous operation and/or press set up experience preferred.
Experience using hand tools.
Experience using measuring equipment including micrometers, rulers, calipers, comparators and CMM.
Experience inputting measurements by reading schematics and blueprints.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift up to 50lbs frequently;
Have the ability to work 10+ hour shift standing, sitting, bending and reaching throughout the duration of your shift;
Able to feel, grasp and touch parts to perform quality checks regularly;
Consistently works in a noisy and hot environment;
Have attention to detail and depth perception to perform quality checks frequently.
