Job Title Shipping & Receiving Associate (2nd Shift / Mid Shift) Job Details Shipping & Receiving – Contract / Temp-to-Perm Pay Rate: $22–$24/hr Job Location Seymour, CT Work Hours 2nd Shift / Mid Shift 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (hours may vary based on business needs) Position Purpose The Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for preparing, packaging, shipping, and receiving materials in accordance with company procedures, customer requirements, and quality standards. This role ensures accurate, timely shipments and receipts while supporting inventory control and production flow in a manufacturing environment. Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders per work instructions and shipping schedules Receive incoming materials and verify quantities, part numbers, and documentation Generate and process shipping paperwork including packing slips and labels Coordinate shipments with carriers and internal departments as needed Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records using internal systems Inspect packaging to ensure product protection and compliance with requirements Follow ESD, quality, and safety procedures when handling materials Support material handling, staging, and inventory organization Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area Communicate shipping or receiving issues, delays, or discrepancies to supervisors Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Experience preparing shipments and handling shipping/receiving documentation Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping Ability to lift, move, and package materials safely Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Other Job Information 2nd Shift / Mid Shift position Temp-to-Perm opportunity Onsite role in Seymour, CT No remote work available Company Overview Founded in 2010, Top Prospect Group was created with a focus on matching high-quality candidates with top clients while fostering an environment where success is shared by all.
