Senior Accountant – Multi-Entity Holding CompanyDowntown Chicago | On SiteA privately held holding company managing a portfolio of 40+ entities is seeking a Senior Accountant to own core accounting functions across a complex, multi-entity structure.This is a high-ownership role for a detail-oriented accountant who thrives in a lean, fast-moving environment and wants direct exposure to a sophisticated private investment platform.What You'll Do:Own day-to-day general ledger activity across 40+ entities — ensuring accurate coding, classifications, and documentationLead month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparationPrepare and review cash and liquidity reporting — monitoring daily activity and coordinating funding across entities and accountsOversee accounts payable workflow including invoice review, approvals, intercompany billing, and allocationsMaintain clear workpapers and close schedules that support audit readiness and repeatable processesCoordinate bank, brokerage, and investment account statement retrieval and reconciliation across multiple financial institutionsSupport annual compliance, audits, and filings in coordination with external advisorsIdentify and drive process improvements across the accounting functionWhat We're Looking For:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance4–7 years of progressive accounting experienceMulti-entity or holding company experience strongly preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP including close, accruals, and financial statement preparationERP and advanced Excel proficiency requiredSelf-motivated and comfortable owning the close calendar independentlyWhy This Role Stands Out:Rare multi-entity holding company seat — 40+ entities, broad exposureDirect access to senior leadership in a lean, high-trust environmentIn downtown ChicagoHigh ownership and long-term growth potential
