Machine Learning/AI Engineer

Job description:Elevate UAS is looking to hire an expert software engineer in the field of machine learning and artificial intelligence to assist with the development of an image recognition process to be applied to geospatial databases. Familiarity with image classification and image recognition software is a must. Experience with geospatial database softwares and methodology is a must. This will be a part time, contracted position. Hours will be variable and flexible depending on project needs. The candidate will independently support scalable ML solutions that efficiently handle increasing data volumes, ensuring that the models remain effective and responsive as the business grows. They will independently implement machine learning features/solutions that enhance the overall user experience and act as a mentor to other ML Engineers and the remaining project team in the context of technology, best practices, and domain-specific issues. Skills·      Experience working remote preferred but not required. ·      GIS, remote sensing, spatial databases, image recognition, image classification. Use of Labelbox preferred. ·      Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work and communicate effectively with team members·      Advanced-level understanding of salient machine learning algorithms (for example: NLP, recommender systems) and model development lifecycle·      2+ years’ experience in using popular machine-learning frameworks·      3+ years of practical experience (non-academic) in scripting languages (preferably Python and Bash scripting)·      3+ years’ experience in data warehouses & data lakes and analytics services, such as SnowflakeHOURLY RATE: $120.00 USD/HrEstimated hours: 15-20 Hr/weekThis position is virtual/remote which means the work can be completed from anywhere in the United States or United States Territories.
