Job PostingESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Accurately calculates and processes bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls for multiple dealershipsUpdates master payroll records affecting wages and deductions, including federal and state exemptions, insurance coverage, pay increases, available PTO, employee transfers, benefit changes, and 401(k) electionsProcesses garnishments and maintains accurate wage withholding recordsResearches and resolves payroll discrepancies and errors in a timely mannerUnderstands employee payroll issues and communicates solutions effectively, professionally, and confidentiallyCoordinates closely with Human Resources and Accounting on payroll matters and issues affecting both departmentsOther Duties: Job description is not designed to cover a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:At least two years of experience in automotive accounting required; prior payroll experience is a plusSelf-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks, organize work effectively, and consistently meet payroll deadlinesComputer literate with accurate typing and 10-key skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracy when handling payroll records, calculations, deductions, and employee informationStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to handle employee payroll questions professionally and discreetlySUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This role has no supervisory responsibilitiesWORK ENVIRONMENT:This job operates primarily in a professional dealership accounting and administrative office environment and may involve occasional interaction with employees and managers across multiple dealership locations.
