Child and Adolescent Telepsychiatrist
New Solutions Staffing (NSS) is identifying a board-certified or board-eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to be named in our proposal for a long-term telehealth engagement with a New York public-sector behavioral health facility.
Position highlights
20 hours per week of 100% remote telepsychiatry
Contract term: 5-year facility; minimum 3-year commitment from the clinician, confirmed at interview
1099 Independent Contractor (paid only for actual hours worked)
Flexible scheduling within normal business hours, Monday–Friday (hours may flex to meet facility needs)
Telehealth platform, clinical support, and EMR training provided by the facility
Role may be filled by one clinician or by up to three credentialed psychiatrists sharing the pool at the same hourly rate
Required qualifications
MD or DO with completed Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship from an accredited training program
Board-Certified by ABPN in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry — OR — Board-Eligible within 3 years of C&A fellowship completionValid, active New York State medical license (license application in process is acceptable at submission; must be issued before start)
Valid Federal Narcotics Number (DEA) and NPI
Enrolled in NewCropRx
Unconditional participating provider in Medicare AND Medicaid OPRA (Ordering/Prescribing/Referring/Attending)
$1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate professional liability coverage (or willingness to obtain)
Telehealth services compliant with Title 14 NYCRR 596 and HIPAA/HITECH
Approved videoconferencing platforms per OMH/ITS: VTC, Webex, or Doximity (on NYeNET state carrier where applicable)
Why is this role different from a locum
Most telepsych locums run 3–6 months. This engagement offers 5 years of predictable weekly hours, continuity with a pediatric patient panel, and stable 1099 income with no weekly‑minimum uncertainty.
