Structural (Bridge) Engineer

Overview In this role you help design bridges and transportation structures in the Virginia offices, collaborating with a structures team to deliver PS&E packages and infrastructure projects. You will work on concrete and steel bridges, retaining walls, and culverts, supporting growth and advancement in a dynamic, client-focused environment. ResponsibilitiesDesign simple and complex bridges (concrete and steel) and transportation structuresDevelop Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) packagesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projectsContribute to project quality and client satisfactionDemonstrate leadership and pursue professional growth on challenging projects Key requirements5+ years of progressive experience in structural and bridge engineeringVirginia PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 1–2 yearsFamiliarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications; experience with VDOT and/or MD SHA standards preferredKnowledge of OpenBridge Designer, Leap Bridge Concrete, CSiBridge, and/or similar analysis programs preferredProficiency using CAD (MicroStation preferred)Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong leadership skills and ability to work in a team environmentteam-orientedstrong communicationleadershipAASHTO LRFD Bridge Design SpecificationsOpenBridge DesignerLeap Bridge Concrete
