CDL Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Heavy Equipment Hauler to join our small family business to help transport heavy equipment and materials to and from septic system job sites. This role is critical to keeping projects on schedule and running smoothly. The ideal candidate is safely-focused, reliable, and willing to assist with equipment operation and basic maintenance as needed. Key Responsibilities: Safely haul heavy equipment to and from job sites Deliver, position and set concrete septic tanks accurately and efficiently Secure loads properly and comply with all DOT and safetly regulations Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment daily Assist with basic truck and equipment maintenance when needed Support job sites with equipment operation when business needs require Communicate effectively with supervisors and job site managers Qualifications & Skills: Valid CDL Class A 3-5 years minimum experience hauling heavy equipment Ability to safely deliver and set concrete tanks Operator experience (excavator, skid steer, backhoe) is a plus Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy trucks and equipment is a plus Strong understanding of job site safety practices Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Willingness to assist in various roles based on business needs Work Environment: Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Physical labor required May involve early starts, long days, and travel between job sites Preferred experience: Septic system, utility, or excavation industry experience Familiarity with rural residential, and commercial job sites Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week Work Location: On the road
