🚨 Controls Engineering Manager – Data CentersI’m currently working on an exciting opportunity for a Controls Engineering Manager with a leading power infrastructure business supporting some of the world’s most critical data center environments.This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll lead and develop a team of Controls Engineers while remaining technically involved across PLC/HMI programming, automation, testing and commissioning of complex electrical power distribution equipment.The role:🔹 Lead, mentor and develop a growing Controls Engineering team🔹 Remain hands-on with PLC & HMI programming, testing and commissioning🔹 Act as the technical escalation point for complex controls and commissioning issues🔹 Oversee testing, validation and commissioning of switchgear, control panels and power distribution equipment🔹 Work closely with Engineering, Operations, Commercial teams, customers and suppliers🔹 Drive technical standards, continuous improvement, safety and qualityWe're looking for:✅ Strong Controls / Automation Engineering background✅ Experience with PLC, HMI and industrial automation✅ Knowledge of Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP, BACnet and industrial networking✅ Experience leading or mentoring Controls Engineers✅ Background with electrical power equipment, switchgear or similar systems✅ Experience in data centers, power generation, manufacturing or other critical infrastructure✅ Ideally, exposure to SCADA / EPMS, protective relays or systems integration
