Company DescriptionSeattle City Flag is a Seattle Civic Art non-profit organization dedicated to bringing inclusive public art to Seattle through civic design. Our vision for the Seattle flag is to unite the citizens of Seattle in goodwill. Our mission is to champion inclusive public art in partnership with the community and City of Seattle.Role DescriptionThis is a volunteer hybrid role to join the Seattle City Flag Board of Directors as the Director of Non-Profit Administration and Secretary. Anticipated commitment is about 3-5 hours / week.In addition, this role will develop and manage documentation to maintain compliance with the Washington Secretary of State, collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer for financial filings, contribute to the development of internal policies and procedures, manage internal communication, coordinate board meetings, and support the non-profit as it grows in scope.This position will also join our Executive Committee along with the President and Treasurer to develop then execute strategic initiatives.This position is critical for providing Seattle City Flag with foundational non-profit corporate management.QualificationsDetail and execution orientedExcellent written communication skillsAbility to proactively seek clarity on deadlines and public filingsGrowth Mindset and ability to learn new skillsExperience in non-profit administration or relevant fieldAbility to work independently and collaborativelyKnowledge of non-profit financial regulations and reportingPast experience serving as a non-profit's official Secretary is a plusBachelor's degree in Non-Profit Management, or Business Administration, or related fieldPassion for civic art and community building
