You will collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional partners to build and maintain full-stack applications that serve clients across payments, liquidity, and transfer services. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your technical foundation, embrace AI-assisted development practices, and grow your career within a world-class technology organization.Job ResponsibilitiesExecutes standard software solution, design, development, and technical troubleshootingWrites secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidanceLeverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implicationsApplies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automationApplies technical troubleshooting to breakdown solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexityGathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application developmentLearns and applies system processes, methodologies, and skills for the development of secure, stable code and systemsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience developing, debugging, and maintaining code using Java and Spring Boot in a corporate or production environmentWorking knowledge of React or a comparable JavaScript framework for building responsive, user-facing web applicationsHands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration, deployment management, and application scalingHands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation), with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and securityUnderstanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectationsOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleSolid understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security best practicesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And SkillsExposure to payments or financial services domain concepts such as transaction processing, clearing, settlement, or liquidity managementFamiliarity with cloud infrastructure technologies including compute, storage, container services, and serverless functions (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with observability and monitoring tooling such as Datadog, Grafana, or Splunk for production system health and incident responseKnowledge of REST API design principles and microservices architecture patternsExperience contributing to agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and cross-functional engineering collaborationABOUT USJPMorganChase, one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world's most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
