The MissionWe are seeking a high-caliber Heavy Equipment Operator who treats their machine like their own and takes pride in precision. From bulldozers to excavators, you will be the primary force behind our most critical earthmoving and infrastructure projects. Your ImpactPrecision Operation: Masterfully operate bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and other heavy machinery to meet project specs with efficiency and safety.Equipment Stewardship: You know your machine better than anyone. You'll handle pre-op checks (fluids, tracks, mechanical integrity) and routine upkeep to ensure zero downtime.Site Mastery: Prepare work areas, interpret site plans, and utilize GPS controls to move material exactly where it needs to go.Safety Leadership: Lead by example by following all PPE protocols and participating in safety briefings—because at R.E. Miller, we look out for our own.Team Synergy: Work in lockstep with site supervisors and laborers to ensure project timelines are met without sacrificing quality. What You Bring to the tableExperience: Proven proficiency in operating and troubleshooting heavy machinery in a construction or industrial environment.Tech-Savvy: A solid understanding of GPS controls and the ability to read blueprints or site plans is a major plus.Mechanical Intuition: You don't just "drive"; you understand the mechanical systems and can spot a maintenance need before it becomes a breakdown.Physical Grit: Comfortable lifting 50 lbs, working outdoors in the Montana elements, and handling the vibrations and noise of a high-energy job site.
