Staff Accountant – Sales & Use TaxCompensation: $75,000 – $90,000 + up to 20% bonusLocation: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)Position OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant with strong experience in Sales & Use Tax and cash reconciliations. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation, hands-on experience with inventory, and a desire to grow professionally—particularly candidates pursuing a CPA designation.The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and comfortable working within the general ledger, performing high-volume bank reconciliations, and supporting accurate Sales & Use Tax reporting and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and record Sales & Use Tax journal entries in collaboration with the tax teamReconcile Sales & Use Tax accounts and investigate discrepanciesSupport Sales & Use Tax compliance and reporting accuracyPerform high-volume bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely mannerMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completenessApply strong knowledge of debits and credits in daily accounting activitiesResearch and resolve discrepancies through detailed account analysisAnalyze general ledger activity to identify and resolve issuesAssist with month-end and year-end close processes, especially for cash and tax accountsSupport inventory-related accounting activities as neededStrengthen and maintain internal controls over cash and tax processesIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiencyCollaborate cross-functionally, particularly with the tax teamQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)CPA license or active pursuit of CPA preferred1–3+ years of accounting experience, including Sales & Use Tax and bank reconciliationsBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, PTO
