Job Description Job Title: Warehouse Associate / Shipping & Receiving AssociateLocation: On-sitePay Rate: $17–$18 per hourSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMJob SummaryThe Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately pulling, packing, and shipping customer orders while supporting daily warehouse operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely deliveries, accurate inventory handling, and excellent customer service. The position involves both shipping and receiving functions, including freight preparation, inbound processing, customer returns, and inventory organization.Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Fulfillment & ShippingPull, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on time to meet delivery requirementsPrepare freight shipments, ensuring correct labeling, packaging, and required shipping documentationAssist with loading and unloading trucks and handling customer pick-up ordersCoordinate shipments using small package carriers, LTL freight, and full truckload deliveriesReceiving & Inventory ControlProcess daily inbound shipments from small package carriers, LTL freight, and truck deliveriesVerify received items against purchase orders for accuracy and completenessInspect inbound materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues promptlyAssign and maintain bin locations to ensure organized and efficient inventory storageReturns & Claims ManagementHandle customer returns in accordance with company proceduresMaintain organized RGA (Return Goods Authorization) shelvesProcess vendor claims promptly and accurately to resolve discrepancies or damaged goodsWarehouse Organization & SafetyMaintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environmentFollow all safety procedures when operating warehouse equipment and handling materialsSupport continuous improvement efforts related to warehouse efficiency and accuracyQualifications & SkillsPrevious warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred but not requiredAbility to accurately follow written and verbal instructionsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to lift, carry, and move materials as required for warehouse operationsComfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentDependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a teamWork EnvironmentWarehouse setting with regular physical activity, including lifting, standing, and moving throughout the shiftInteraction with freight carriers, drivers, and internal team membersJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sarasota, FL.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
