Moriah Films is the Center’s two-time Academy Award®-winning film division and the Museum of Tolerance Jerusalem is scheduled to open in 2024.Job SummaryThe Development Associate supports the organization’s fundraising and development efforts. This role involves donor communications, data management, event coordination, and research to further SWC’s fundraising goals. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree, relevant fundraising experience, and strong communication skills.The position reports to the EVP, Development - Southern Region and is located in West Palm Beach, FLDuties And ResponsibilitiesOrganize Donor Events: Plan and execute donor appreciation events, fundraising galas, and other special events. Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, guest lists, and follow-up communications.Solicit Increased Contributions Engage current donors through personalized outreach to encourage increased giving. Identify and cultivate relationships with donors for potential contribution upgrades.Network With Potential Donors Build relationships with prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations. Represent SWC at networking events and community meetings to engage potential supporters.Donor And Foundation Research Conduct research on foundations, corporations, and individual donors to identify new funding opportunities. Assist in preparing grant proposals and funding requests based on research.Report On Fundraising Activities Prepare regular reports on donor contributions and overall progress toward development goals. Analyze fundraising data to identify trends and inform future strategies.Additional Responsibilities Support the Development team with tasks as needed to achieve organizational goals. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with fundraising best practices. Local travel is required for donor meetings and events.Required Skills/Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in non-profit management field preferred.At least two years related experience required. Physical RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
