Euclid, Ohio (Greater Cleveland Area)On-Site Role (3–6 month contract-to-hire)$50–80/hr (Conversion Salary $95,620 - $153,000)Pay is based on years of experienceAbout The RoleOur client, a global industrial manufacturer, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing environment in Euclid, Ohio. This contract-to-hire position supports industrial automation and control systems, focusing on improving equipment reliability, driving automation initiatives, and supporting plant operations through hands-on engineering and technical problem-solving. You’ll work cross-functionally with production, maintenance, IT, and engineering teams to modernize systems, reduce downtime, and support capital projects. The role offers opportunities to lead projects, manage third-party resources, and contribute to the modernization of manufacturing systems while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.What You'll DoEngineer solutions to improve equipment reliability, safety, ergonomics, and environmental health & safety compliance (ISO 14001, ISO 45001)Provide technical support to Production, Maintenance, and IT teams to reduce downtime and improve system performanceDevelop, program, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs across platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, and BeijerDevelop, update, and maintain National Instruments LabVIEW code for testing applications and equipmentInterface with engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, IT, and production teams to support facility and capital projectsApply NEC knowledge to support planning and installation of industrial electrical equipmentSupport project planning through cost estimates, timelines, and vendor quote reviewsLead projects or project phases and serve as a technical resource for less experienced engineersManage third-party engineering and construction resources while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standardsIntegrate equipment into plant data collection systems and establish network topologiesSupport control system backups, patching, and asset inventory managementCompile and analyze data from connected equipment and help establish controls standardsWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering3-8+ years of relevant engineering experienceHands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial automation systemsExperience with National Instruments LabVIEW (development and maintenance of test systems)Experience with Rockwell Automation and/or Siemens control systemsExperience with AutoCAD ElectricalKnowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, 79, and general electrical/industrial codesUnderstanding of industrial networking concepts and data systems (SQL experience is a plus)Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environmentAbility to work both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teamsComfortable working hands-on in a plant environment
