ROLEWe are seeking a Federal Financial Analyst to support the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California (USAO NDCA) in San Francisco, CA. In this role, you will support Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) and Financial Litigation Program (FLP) staff with the financial analysis, research, and documentation needed to pursue criminal and civil debt collection matters.This is a full-time opportunity in which we'll provide competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and job stability and security.Apply today!RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct financial analyses of individual, partnership, and corporate judgment debtorsReview financial statements, credit reports, tax returns, bank records, and loan materialsAnalyze escrow records, real property records, insurance information, and lending documentsTrace the movement of funds to identify assets available for collectionAssess debtor ability to pay criminal or civil judgmentsPrepare detailed financial analysis reports for AUSAs and FLP staffDevelop clear conclusions regarding the collectability of debtsIdentify assets that may be available under the Federal Debt Collection Procedures ActRecommend additional investigatory steps based on financial records and asset researchDraft written discovery, including interrogatories, document requests, and subpoenasObtain records from debtors, family members, businesses, banks, brokerages, and lendersEvaluate computerized database searches, public records, and judgment informationResearch Secretary of State records and publicly filed financial informationReview records from sources such as the Securities and Exchange CommissionPrepare charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams to support financial analysisTrack obligations, expenditures, fiscal discrepancies, and related financial informationReconcile financial data and provide reporting that supports decision-makingProvide verbal and written updates to attorneys, support staff, and supervisorsMaintain accurate documentation related to assigned financial litigation mattersProvide ancillary office support related to Financial Litigation Program operationsHandle sensitive legal, financial, and government information with discretionREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES Knowledge of financial analysis for individuals, companies, and partnershipsUnderstanding of budget allocation, execution, and administration processesKnowledge of business forms such as corporations, partnerships, LLCs, LLPs, family trusts, and estate-planning trustsKnowledge of debt collection techniques, including garnishment, execution, and appointment of receiversAbility to assess products and procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, and system application standardsFamiliarity with activity-based costing, business case analysis, and outsourcing requirementsUnderstanding of how financial management requirements relate to automated solutions and system environmentsAbility to develop work breakdown structures to support financial analysis and problem-solvingEXPERIENCE Three years of accounting or financial management experience requiredExperience reviewing financial statements, tax returns, bank records, escrow records, or real property records requiredExperience monitoring obligations, expenditures, fiscal discrepancies, or related financial data requiredExperience preparing financial reports, summaries, charts, tables, graphs, or diagrams requiredExperience using online databases, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, or similar commercial database programs requiredAccounting or financial management experience in a Federal Government environment preferredREQUIRED EDUCATION Four-year degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field requiredLOCATION San Francisco, CA 94102TELEWORK Telework is not authorizedCLEARANCE U.S. citizenship is required as it supports the U.S. federal governmentMust be able to complete a Department of Justice (DOJ) background investigationCLIENT U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ)TRAVEL Travel is not expected as a regular dutyWORK HOURS 40 hours8 hours a day5 days a weekEMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION Employment Classification Eligibility — NonexemptRELOCATION Not eligible for relocation benefits******************KMRG, LLC is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action (EEO/AA) employer.
