Software V&V Lead

Job Title: Software V&V Lead Location: Rockford, IL (Onsite Only) Experience Level: 10+ Years Important Note: This position is subject to ITAR regulations. Only U.S. Citizens and Green Card holders are eligible to apply. About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Software Verification & Validation (V&V) Lead to join our team in Rockford, IL. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in avionics software testing, structural coverage analysis, and compliance with aerospace safety standards. Key Responsibilities: • Lead software verification and validation (V&V) activities for safety-critical aerospace systems • Perform Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA) including build creation and coverage analysis • Utilize RTRT tools for testing and coverage activities • Design and execute test strategies including unit, integration (SSIT/HSIT), and system-level testing • Apply Black-box, White-box, and Boundary Value Analysis methodologies • Ensure compliance with DO-178B/C standards • Analyze test results and perform root cause analysis • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Maintain test documentation and reports • Support configuration and change management activities Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in software testing and V&V in aerospace domain • Strong experience in Building instrumentation and Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA) • 6+ years of experience with RTRT tools • Strong experience with DO-178B/C standards • Proficiency in C and/or Ada programming • Experience with unit, integration (SSIT/HSIT), and system testing • Familiarity with DOORS or similar requirements management tools • Experience in safety-critical, regulated environments • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Synergy CM/Change, Polarion, or SVN • Prior experience in a lead role or mentoring team members • Understanding of aerospace software lifecycle processes
