Ocean Export Customer Service RepresentativeLeading Freight Forwarder / NVOCC/ Customs House Broker/ Tank Container Operator, with locations in 24 countries and over 3300 employees strong, is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to fill the position of Ocean Export Customer Service Representative in our Miami Office.Coordinate shipments with shippers and receiversCommunicate with customers, staff and vendorsCorrespond with overseas agents and clientsBook cargoHandle AES transmissionsIssue documents such as B/L, Dock Receipt, Booking Order, C.O., etc.Learn to operate in all Leschaco systemsHandle the preparation of documents based on Letter of Credit requirementsPrepare other documents as required by customerSend pre-alerts via email and original docs via international courier when requiredInvoice filesLearn and apply U.S. Government regulationsWork with steamship line/trucking companies to obtain quotations and handle the movement of freightPrepare quotationsHandle files from A to ZJob Requirements:3-5 years experience in ocean exports with a freight forwarderKnowledge of export regulationsStrong communication skillsAbility to meet strict deadlines dailyBe able to work independently, multi-task, be a team player and work in a fast paced environmentPossess excellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.Experience with the handling of hazardous materials a plusWe offer medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account (medical and dependent care), 401(k) with company match, company paid life insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability, 9 paid holidays plus PTO and sick leave, voluntary time off, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, employee referral program, employee discounts.Salary range: $55k-$70k
