Controls Design Engineer
Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced BMS Controls Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and commission Building Management Systems (BMS) and Facility Management Systems (FMS) for mission-critical data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in HVAC controls, power monitoring, PLC-based automation, industrial communication protocols, and system integration.Key Responsibilities:Design and implement Building Management Systems (BMS) and Facility Management Systems (FMS) for data center and critical facility infrastructure.Develop control drawings, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Design and integrate control systems for HVAC, UPS, generators, lighting, and security systems.Configure and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems and field devices.Integrate systems using Modbus, TCP/IP, SNMP, and other industrial communication protocols.Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, architectural, and commissioning teams throughout project execution.Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), startup, commissioning, and system validation.Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.Prepare engineering documentation, as-built drawings, and technical reports.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), Building Management Systems (BMS), or industrial controls.Experience with HVAC controls and critical facility infrastructure.Hands-on experience with PLCs, relay logic, and industrial communication protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, SNMP).Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
