The field coordinator assists the superintendent or assistant superintendent overseeing portions of the project construction activities. Activities might vary from managing subcontractors to verifying quality control processes to managing production crews.Duties/ResponsibilitiesManage various scopes of subcontractor work.Provide direct in field supervision of production crews.Schedule crewsDocumentation of work performed.Schedule material deliveries and manage material, equipment and personnel.Submit field reports, track time on task, track onsite material inventory and deliveries with Superintendent.Accurately records and tracks time and quantities completed daily.Education and TrainingFour-year degree in construction, engineering or related field or equivalent construction experienceProficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsExperience reading blueprints/plansExcellent problem solving and critical thinking abilityExperience with large excavation equipment including dozers, track hoes, tractors, scrapers etc.Knowledge, Skills And AbilitiesSelf-motivated with the ability to working productively without constant supervisionExcellent time management and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple operationsAbility to lead self-perform crewUnderstanding and working knowledge of the Vaughn safety planAble to contribute to daily and weekly safety meetings and auditsBasic knowledge of means and methods of construction scopesAbility to plan scopes of work 2-3 weeks outAbility to establish and maintain positive working relationshipsAbility to maintain flexibility and work with frequent interruptions and multiple changing prioritiesAdditional AbilitiesLift 50 poundsMove 100 poundsWork under exposure to inclement weather conditionsClimb scaffoldsClimb laddersWalk projects to supervise work being installedDrive vehicles for company businessAbility to walk several flights of stairs on high rise buildings
