Senior Sales Representative The Senior Sales Representative develops and grows a book of business by identifying sales opportunities, prospecting, cold-calling, closing the sale, and building long-lasting customer relationships in a competitive, fast-paced industry. Utilizing experience in 3PL sales, they develop effective strategies to drive sales growth among existing and prospective customer accounts. They are responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience that enhances the company's position within the transportation industry. The challenge is to expand the company's account portfolio, increase revenues, and grow new business profitably. Essential Functions Statement(s) Research leads and decision makers to generate new freight opportunities via cold calling/e-mail Develop meaningful and lasting relationship with customers with a service first based approach Have a deep understanding of current service offerings while effectively communicating to existing and prospective customers Support pricing decisions through market analysis and negotiation, both tactically and strategically through RFP processes Collaborate effectively with internal teams (Carrier Operations, Key Accounts) to develop customer solutions and provide best in class service to customer base Ability to balance and execute on existing business, prospecting activities, and lead generation Actively maintain all records within CRM Utilize appropriate technologies including TMS, CRM, WMS, and various other supply-chain related technologies. Accountable for budgeted monthly sales targets and sales activity expectations (KPIs) Provide subject-matter expertise on industry trends, technology, and best practices to existing and prospective customers. Communication, Written/Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word and in writing. Customer Oriented - Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures. Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. Negotiation Skills - Ability to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties. Relationship Building - Ability to effectively build relationships with customers and coworkers. Sales Ability - Ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to gain acceptance of a product, service, or idea. Skills & Abilities Associate Degree from a 2-year college or technical school required; Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or technical school preferred, ideally in Transportation, Logistics, or Business. 35 years of 3PL Sales, Operations, Account Management, or related experience required. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office products required. Valid Driver's License required.
