Sr.Principal Engineer, Systems Engineering (Onsite)

Senior Principal Systems EngineerPratt & Whitney Engine Design and Systems Integration (EDSI) is seeking a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience, to support next generation propulsion programs.The candidate will be responsible for leading the development, integration, and maturation of system models for one or more military engine programs. Candidate will also be involved in Pratt & Whitney's digital transformation initiatives to serve as a technical leader, mentor, and strategic contributor driving MBSE process improvements in systems engineering.This position provides the opportunity to influence and develop cutting-edge digital engineering capabilities for military propulsion programs. Candidate responsibilities will be commensurate with their background, experience, and education.Responsibilities:Lead the development of Systems Engineering Models as a subject matter expert in order to perform systems engineering tasks including: Requirements analysis, defining logical and physical architectures, defining interfaces, verification planning, trade studies, system integrationCoordinate with leadership, team members, and other teams in a highly matrixed organizationParticipate in customer and/or internal gate reviews throughout the product lifecycleCoordinate extended team model development efforts and enforce engineering best practices and compliance with EDSI standard workQualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7+ years of relevant experienceExperience leading small cross functional engineering teamsExperience in systems engineering roles, or familiarity with systems engineering methodsExperience using a SysML tool, such as IBM Rhapsody®, Cameo/Magic Draw®, or equivalentThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.Qualifications We Prefer:Background in propulsion, gas turbine systems, or mission?critical aerospace applications.Proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler or Cameo Enterprise ArchitectKnowledge of MBSE best practicesCertification in systems engineering and/or SysML (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, OCSMP)Proficiency with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)Experience writing proposals, generating basis of estimatesActive Secret clearance
