Software Engineering Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Code Review & Technical ValidationJob Description:Innodata (NASDAQ: INOD) is a global leader in AI data engineering and high-quality training data for Large Language Models. We are hiring experienced Software Engineering Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure the quality and correctness of complex coding problems used in AI training and evaluation.We are looking for strong technical reviewers with deep coding expertise who can critically validate solutions, test cases, and gold patches across multiple programming languages.Key Responsibilities:Perform end-to-end technical review of coding problems, solutions, test cases, and gold patchesValidate correctness, test coverage, edge cases, and alignment with evaluation rubricsSet up and run projects in Docker environments to verify reproducibility and expected outputsReview code diffs, build systems, dependencies, and test framework implementationsIdentify flaky tests, weak test cases, hardcoded solutions, and ambiguous problem statementsProvide clear Pass/Fix/Fail verdicts with concise, actionable feedbackCollaborate with Technical Leads on escalations and complex casesRequired Qualifications:2–6+ years of strong hands-on software development experienceStrong proficiency in at least one of: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Rust, C/C++Solid experience with unit testing frameworks (pytest, JUnit, Jest, etc.)Hands-on experience with Docker (building, running & debugging containers)Proficient with Git and code review practicesStrong debugging, root cause analysis, and attention to detailPreferred Skills:Experience in SDET, QA Automation, or Technical Code Review rolesFamiliarity with build tools (Maven, Gradle, npm, Cargo)Exposure to CI/CD pipelinesOpen-source contributionsRustCobol is plusIf you have a critical eye for code quality and enjoy deep technical validation work, this is a great opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge AI development at Innodata.Interested?
