A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 • 2-3 days of orientation provided • Minimum 2 years clinical experience required • Minimum 2 years medical surgical specialty experience required • Prior travel experience required (at least one prior assignment) • Required certifications: Florida or Compact nursing license, BLS • Dress code: Royal blue scrubs per facility policy • 4-week scheduling with partial self-scheduling available via Opti-Link • Weekend requirements: Every other weekend • Holiday requirements per facility policy • Floating required to other medical surgical units in rotation with staff and travelers • Care for orthopedic and trauma patients including total joints, trauma cases, and medical diagnoses • Patient population ages 18 and older • Work with specialized equipment including CPM machines, PCA pumps, traction devices, and wound drains • Documentation system: Cerner; Medication system: Pyxis • Primary nursing care modality • CNA/PCT and unit clerk support available • 24/7 respiratory and anesthesia support available • Free shuttle transportation from designated parking lot Facility: This 772-bed healthcare facility operates as a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center with Level 2 Trauma capabilities.
