About the RoleWe're partnering with an employee-owned construction firm known for its quality work, long-term relationships, and financial stability. As they continue to scale, it has outgrown the way it's been doing things and is looking for an accounting leader to help build what's next.What You'll OwnLead all accounting and financial operations, including general ledger management, payroll, monthly close, and financial reporting.Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasting initiatives, and cash flow strategies that support sustainable growth.Partner directly with ownership and senior leadership to provide financial insight, support strategic planning, and guide key business decisions.Drive the job costing process, progress billings, and WIP schedules to ensure accurate project performance visibility.Oversee project expense tracking, labor allocations, subcontractor financial reviews, and cost control initiatives.Strengthen internal controls, improve financial processes, and enhance reporting systems to maximize operational efficiency and profitability.Lead audit preparation and maintain strong relationships with banking, bonding, and external CPA partners.Mentor and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.What We'd LikeCPA designation preferred, or equivalent experience in a finance leadership role.Deep expertise in construction accounting, including hands-on experience with WIP reporting, project costing, revenue recognition, and cost controls.Strong working knowledge of construction ERP systems or similar platforms.The ability to translate financial data into meaningful operational recommendations that drive business performance.A collaborative leadership style with the confidence to partner effectively with C-Suite and field leadership.Why This RoleYou'll have a direct hand in shaping the accounting function, improving reporting and processes, and supporting the company's continued growth.
