Position Overview: The Continuous Improvement & Safety professional is responsible for driving operational excellence, workplace safety, and process efficiency throughout the production and Fabrication process. This role leads initiatives focused on improving productivity, reducing waste, enhancing product quality, and maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities:Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, throughput, scrap reduction, quality, and cost savings. Develop and maintain workplace safety programs, policies, and training in compliance with OSHA and company standards. Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action follow-up. Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for operational improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies. Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for safety incidents, quality issues, and production inefficiencies. Monitor KPIs related to safety, production efficiency, downtime, and quality performance. Partner with supervisors and plant leadership to implement standard work practices and sustain continuous improvement gains. Coordinate employee safety training, toolbox talks, and improvement workshops. Support regulatory compliance, inspections, and documentation requirements. Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and proactive problem-solving throughout the facility. Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders throughout the workday Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required Comfortable working in an industrial fabrication environment with noise, dust, and heavy equipment Working Conditions:Shop and heat environments. Exposure to structural steel fabrication, welding operations, and heavy machinery. May require overtime or flexible scheduling based on project needs.
