Database Engineer

We're hiring on behalf of a Haystack partner!The Role• Support the design, development, modernization, testing, and implementation of data-driven software applications for managing and distributing aeronautical information.• Develop new software capabilities, support special projects, modernize legacy applications, and configure Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) applications.• Design, develop, and maintain relational database structures, queries, stored procedures, and supporting application components.• Translate business needs into effective technical solutions and provide technical leadership on complex software and database development activities.• Troubleshoot application and database issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.• Develop and maintain technical documentation for applications, source code, and database structures.What You'll Need• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and at least 8 years of professional experience, or equivalent experience.• Significant experience designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise software applications.• Experience developing applications using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., C#, .NET, Java, Python, JavaScript).• Strong experience designing, developing, and supporting relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).• Experience developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas.• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.What's On Offer• Competitive annual salary of $107,900 - $195,050.• Opportunity to work on critical systems supporting aeronautical information distribution.• Collaborative team environment with opportunities for technical leadership and mentoring.• Potential for full-time teleworking.Apply via Haystack today!
