Finance Manager

Job Type: Officer of AdministrationRegular/Temporary: RegularHours Per Week: 35Salary Range: $95,000 - $105,000The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.Position SummaryReporting to the Chief Financial Officer at the College of Dental Medicine, the Senior Finance Manager will serve as the Finance Team client manager for his/her assigned units. The Senior Finance Manager will provide financial oversight for his/ her assigned units, ensuring compliance with financial policies and properly escalating concerns to Senior Management.ResponsibilitiesFinance OperationsAssisting CFO with development and/or maintenance of performance tracking reportsSupporting the School's monthly and quarterly closing process, including completion of the quarterly accrual scheduleTracking and management of MSA invoicing and paymentsCalculating physician additional compensation paymentsResponsible for ARC chartfield management and maintenance;Support in managing NYPH joint budget, reconciling payroll with budget/joint budget and submitting name updatesManagement of the physician malpractice insurance including the completion of annual budget roster monthly reconciliation of charges and divisional chargebacks, coordinating Delineation of Privileges changes;Responsible for space management and FAIR allocations to each division, including OpEx and ICR sharing;Collaborating with the Finance Team in conjunction with the budgetary planning process, developing budgets for assigned units and completing budget tool uploads;Management and completion of annual certifications and reconciliation including FAIR and ARC/PAC access validation;Reconciliation of payments related to clinical assessments and other internal chargebacksAssist with onboarding and training of incoming staff on Columbia University financial policies and systems;Serve as liaison between Finance and Research Finance Teams;Performs Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience, plus four years of related experiencePreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with Columbia University financial and administrative systems preferred, such as ARC, FDS, FINSYS/Budget Tool and PACWell versed in University/ Healthcare purchasing and procurement policies.Must have discretion in compensation communications and must have the ability to take initiative and interact effectively with others.Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervisionOther RequirementsExcellent analytical and communication skills.Must have analytical skills.
