Earn rewards through our PowerZone Employee Recognition Program, and expand your expertise with our Clinicians in Action professional development program.ResponsibilitiesThe Physical Therapist – Journey Traveler must be able to travel nationwide for 13‐week assignments.The position provides flexibility to travel the country and work in various settings.Assess the need for, develop, and deliver physical therapy programs to facilitate rehabilitation.Identify the need for and make referrals to other disciplines to address the comprehensive needs of patients.Implement individualized therapy programs designed to restore, reinforce, and enhance performance.Instruct, educate, and train patients and caregivers in skills and functions essential for promoting independence and productivity, in order to diminish or correct pathology.Direct activities to promote and maintain health.Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure requirements and professional standards.Ensure effective and efficient delivery of rehab services; adhere to an established plan of care, department and patient schedule, and timely documentation of services.Attend and contribute to patient care, staffing conferences and other related meetings.Make referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address the comprehensive needs of the patient.Consult with other members of the rehabilitation team to select the most appropriate therapeutic regimen consistent with the needs and capabilities of each patient.Adapt program and/or plan of care according to the needs of individual patients.Promote a safe environment and enforce the elimination of fire and safety hazards.Order supplies and equipment as necessary.Clean, maintain, identify, and report the need for repair of equipment.Put patient service first: ensure that patients and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere that recognizes individuals' needs and rights.Screen, examine, and evaluate patients, including history, systems review, and application of appropriate tests and measures; synthesize information and interpret examination findings to establish a diagnosis, identify impairments, determine the predicted level of improvement and the time required to achieve it.Identify precautions/contraindications and design and plan of care.Develop appropriate treatment goals and methods in collaboration with the patient and caregivers, implement the physical therapy treatment plan, and complete all related documentation and record keeping regarding these services.Provide therapeutic techniques such as therapeutic exercise, aerobic conditioning, balance coordination, agility training, body mechanics and postural stabilization, flexibility exercises, gait and locomotion training, neuromotor development training, relaxation, strength, power, and endurance training.Functional training.Manual therapy.Airway clearance techniques.Integumentary repair and protection.Use of electrotherapeutic, physical agent and mechanical modalities.Design, fabricate, fit and/or apply adaptive devices, and train patients in the use of adaptive devices including orthotics and prosthetics.Select appropriate activities suited to the individual's physical and mental capacity, intelligence level and interest.Instruct patients in skills and techniques required for participation in mobility activities and evaluate patient progress, attitudes, and behavior as related to rehabilitative potential.Perform routine reexamination as needed to modify or progress plan of treatment.Perform other related duties as required.QualificationsMust have a valid Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.Must have a Master's degree in Physical Therapy; orMust have a Master's degree in a Physical Therapy related field in addition to a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; orMust have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy plus 5 years of progressively responsible PT experience.Must be available to travel to and temporarily reside in locations outside of the therapist's primary home.The qualifying Physical Therapy degree earned outside of the U.S. must be evaluated to be the U.S. equivalent to a degree in Physical Therapy.Posted Salary Range: USD $55.00 – $70.00 /Hr.#J-18808-Ljbffr
