Mechanic (54964)

Job Purpose: To ensure that our construction equipment and commercial trucks are running proficiently and at their best. Key Responsibilities: Performing scheduled maintenance tasks like lubrication, fluid checks, and cleaning. Identifying and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with heavy equipment. Repairing or replacing worn or damaged components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems. Additional technical training or certification in diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair is preferred. Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an equipment and diesel mechanic. Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy equipment and commercial trucks. Experience in performing scheduled maintenance tasks, including lubrication, fluid checks, and cleaning. Required Skills and Abilities: A strong understanding of mechanical systems, engines, and heavy equipment components. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting 50lbs + at times, lifting heavy parts and working in various environments. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, operators, and other mechanics. Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities and accessing diagnostic software.
